AS, CERTIFICATE
The Dental Assisting program of study is an 11-month program and provides the opportunity to acquire a Certificate or an Associate of Science degree in Dental Assisting. Classes begin each August with completion of the program the following July. At the completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take both state and national licensure examinations to become dental assistants.
Dental Assisting students work in the dental clinic where students provide supervised preventive and therapeutic treatment. This clinic is open to the public as well as to students, faculty, and staff of Los Rios Community College District.
